IBA Legislative Guide
The IBA has designed a resource guide providing basic information on how to contact legislators and address letters as well as providing a glossary of legislative and budget terms for your reference. In addition, the guide contains links you can access to review proposed legislation and a communications action plan. The communications action plan provides three letters written at the beginning, middle and end of session. The first letter is an introduction of your self to your respective legislator along with an offer to be a resource on banking issues. The second letter provides information on specific banking issues being considered by the Legislature and the third letter, following the end of the session, provides a thank you and evaluation of the Legislature’s actions.

Its purpose is to raise funds through personal contributions from officers, shareholders and directors of IBA member banks. All contributions to BUILD are voluntary. Disbursements of PAC funds are based on input from bankers and approved by the IBA Legislative Committee.
