As part of the Member Services Division of Iowa Bankers Association, the Human Resources Department offers a variety of products and services to assist members in their employment and HR efforts.

Consulting

The IBA Human Resources professionals offer both on-site and project based consulting. On-site consulting services include strategic planning facilitation, comprehensive HR audit and front line and management training.  Some of the training topics include sexual harassment, customer service, managing a multi-generational workforce, employee documentation and performance management, and hiring and firing basics.  Other project based consulting includes administering employee opinion surveys, compensation review, personalized employee benefit statements, and employee handbook review. Policies, Procedures, & Handbook

The IBA offers a sample handbook for sale to member banks. The handbook contains all of the pertinent language necessary for most banks in the state of Iowa. Individual sample policies are available on request or policies can be sent to the HR department for review and comment. Salary Survey

IBA conducts an annual salary survey which includes salary information for over 90 positions and also includes information on full-time and part-time employee benefits and directors fees. All banks in the state are invited to participate in the survey.  Banks who participate receive a copy of the results as soon as they become available at a greatly discounted rate.

Human Resources Forms

The IBA Human Resources Department has developed forms for human resources management in such areas as employment applications, applicant tracking and employment application authorization to conduct consumer credit check. All materials are reviewed by IBA legal counsel for compliance with current HR laws and regulations. Please contact the IBA’s forms department for a sample.
